Grading KeyTo score your test and determine your personality type:
  1. Calculate Element Scores:
    • Water Score: Sum your responses to questions 1-10. (Maximum: 50, Minimum: 10)
    • Fire Score: Sum your responses to questions 11-20. (Maximum: 50, Minimum: 10)
    • Air Score: Sum your responses to questions 21-30. (Maximum: 50, Minimum: 10)
    • Earth Score: Sum your responses to questions 31-40. (Maximum: 50, Minimum: 10)
  2. Convert to Percentages (Affinities):
Divide each element's sum by 50 and multiply by 100 to get a percentage (0-100%). This represents your dimensional affinity for that element. For example:
    • Water Affinity = (Water Score / 50) * 100
  3. Determine Your Type:
Use thresholds to map to one of the 15 types, based on which affinities are prominent. This creates blends seamlessly:
    • Single Element Type: If one affinity is 70% or higher and others are below 40%, you are that pure element (e.g., Water if Water ≥70% and others <40%).
    • Dual Blend: If two affinities are 40% or higher and the others below 40%, you are that dual type (e.g., Water-Fire if both ≥40% and Air/Earth <40%). Order by highest affinity first.
    • Triple Blend: If three affinities are 40% or higher and the fourth below 40%, you are that triple type (e.g., Water-Fire-Air). Order by highest affinity first.
    • Quadruple Blend (Water-Fire-Air-Earth): If all four affinities are 40% or higher.
    • Tiebreakers: If affinities are close (within 5%), consider it a blend of the tied elements. If no clear dominance (all below 40% or evenly spread), retake the test or default to the quadruple blend for balance.
  4. Interpret Your Results:
Refer back to the corresponding personality profile from the system. Your Big Five mappings will be averaged based on affinities (e.g., for a 50% Water / 50% Fire blend: Openness = High (average of High/High), Conscientiousness = Moderate (Low/High), etc.). Use this for deeper insight, or correlate with real Big Five tests for validation.
This test is self-scored and for personal use. For more accuracy, consider professional psychological assessments. If scores seem off, reflect on whether responses were consistent with your true self.

Review the trait lists above for each element, then rate on a scale of 1-100 how much you identify or associate with the positive traits as a whole (considering how well they describe your strengths or typical behaviors) and separately for the negative traits (considering how well they describe your challenges or tendencies). A score of 1 means "I do not associate with these traits at all," while 100 means "I strongly associate with these traits—they describe me perfectly."Be honest and reflective; both positive and negative associations contribute to your elemental affinity, as they represent the full spectrum of each element's personality profile. The test should take 5-10 minutes.

Water Positive Traits Association (1-100): ____
Water Negative Traits Association (1-100): ____
Fire Positive Traits Association (1-100): ____
Fire Negative Traits Association (1-100): ____
Air Positive Traits Association (1-100): ____
Air Negative Traits Association (1-100): ____
Earth Positive Traits Association (1-100): ____
Earth Negative Traits Association (1-100): ____
Grading KeyTo determine your personality type based on your associations:
  1. Calculate Element Affinities: For each element, average your positive and negative association scores to get the affinity percentage (0-100%). This reflects overall identification with the element's full profile, where high association with both positives and negatives indicates strong affinity.
    • Water Affinity = (Water Positive + Water Negative) / 2
    • Fire Affinity = (Fire Positive + Fire Negative) / 2
    • Air Affinity = (Air Positive + Air Negative) / 2
    • Earth Affinity = (Earth Positive + Earth Negative) / 2
  2. Determine Your Type: Use the following thresholds to identify which elements are prominent and form your blend in the 15-type system. This creates a dimensional profile seamlessly.
    • Single Element Type: If one affinity is 70% or higher and the others are below 40%, you are that pure element (e.g., Water if Water ≥70% and others <40%).
    • Tiebreakers: If affinities are tied or within 5% of each other, include them in the blend (e.g., if Water and Fire are both 45%, and others low, it's Water-Fire). If no affinities reach 40% or they are all evenly low, you may have a balanced or undefined profile—consider retaking or reflecting on stronger identifications. If all are high but one is notably lower, treat as a triple blend excluding the low one.
  3. Interpret Your Results: Refer to the corresponding personality profile in the EBFPF system for details on traits, associated systems, Big Five mappings, and profile description. Your Big Five levels can be averaged based on your affinities (e.g., for a 60% Water / 40% Fire blend: Openness = High (weighted average of High from Water and High from Fire), Conscientiousness = Moderate (Low from Water, High from Fire), etc.). Use this for self-insight, and cross-reference with other personality assessments if desired.
This test is self-scored and exploratory. High negative associations don't mean "bad"—they highlight growth areas within your elemental strengths.
